This policy explains what Whimbook (App Business Ventures LLC) collects when you use whimbook.com, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

• Your order details: the answers you type in the order form (for example names, a story, preferences) and the photos you upload.
• Contact details: your email address, so we can send your order, receipts and support replies. We don't send newsletters.
• Payment: Stripe processes your payment. We receive the amount, the last 4 digits of the card and the country, never the full card number.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the page that sent you to us (including ad campaign tags), used to prevent fraud and abuse and to measure which ads work.

How we use it

Only to make and deliver your order, to support you, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to measure our own marketing. We never use your order details, stories or photos to train AI models, and we never use them as public examples without your separate permission.

Who processes it

• Our own servers and storage, in the United States.
• Stripe (payments) and Amazon Web Services (email delivery).
• Your book is written and illustrated by AI. We run it on our own servers first. When they are busy, the details of your order (and your photo, if you add one) go to Runware, an AI provider that makes the text and pictures for us under contract and may not use them for anything else.

We don't sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded photos are deleted within 7 days of upload, whether or not you order.
• Orders you don't pay for, and their previews, are deleted after 7 days.
• Paid orders and their files are kept for about 2 months so you can download and share them, then deleted. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
• You can ask us to delete your order and data sooner: email support@whimbook.com from the address you ordered with.

Cookies

We use a few first-party cookies to keep your order form, count visits and remember which ad or link brought you here (for example utm and fbclid tags). We don't use advertising cookies at the moment.

Children

Our site is for adults. Parents and other adults may tell us about a child (first name, age, how they look, favourite things and an optional photo) so we can make a book for them. We use these details only to make and deliver that book. The photo is used only to draw the character and is deleted within 7 days of upload. We never use a child's details or photo to train AI, in advertising or as a sample, and the samples on our site show made-up children.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or California law). Email support@whimbook.com. We answer within 30 days.
